#43376 Imperium's first Fractals run

Posted by Zetsubo on 18 November 2012 - 03:00 PM

Friday night, when the Fractals dungeon first opened, we assembled a team of Imperium heroes to check to see if we were up to the challenge. The champions assembled were:
  • Zetsubo
  • Halcy
  • Malkav
  • Blackwing
  • Djenga
I just cut my raw footage of 40 minutes into 15 minute chunks so I could get them onto YouTube. First video starts at boss fight of first Fractal. I will upload the recording of our second Fractal run (hopefully including first Boss fight) later.

SPOILER ALERT: do not watch if you haven't run Fractals yet and want to be surprised :)

Thanks to all participators for the great fun!

#45330 Will Imperium be present in The Elder Scrolls Online?

Posted by Azounstone on 07 March 2013 - 05:02 PM

Will Imperium be present in The Elder Scrolls Online?

It's a little too early to state one way or the other but we are expecting there to be a great deal of interest in this forthcoming MMO. If there is sufficient interest from within our community then we will have an active presence with full support of this community provided on our website accordingly. Further details of this will be made available if applicable.

Forum Addition

In the meantime with The Elder Scrolls Online beta imminent a new section has been added to the forums for this game. At present it just includes a Videos and Miscellaneous Info section (where this post resides) but in time this will be expanded upon.

You can access this new forum within the 'Other Resources' forum or from the link below:

#28878 Imperium Recruitment Policy

Posted by Azounstone on 06 April 2012 - 09:33 PM

UPDATED

Our recruitment policy has been updated. The new content added is
  • If a member of our raid force and you decide to stop attending raids in Rift to play another game then we request that you give a minimum of two weeks notice. This allows us a chance to find or gear up a replacement. During this period loot will only be allowed if another raid member does not need the item.
  • Failure to comply with the above will result in the player being removed from our community when they leave the game.
This has been added as we feel it is important that all members recognise that our actions effect others and this ensures the interests of the majority are looked after above those of one individual. We feel this is what any decent member would do anyway so we are sure there will be no change in how we play etc.

Upon attending your next raid you are are confirming that you are in agreement with this recruitment policy change.

I photoshopped the santa hat onto the logo; i helped too :freaked:

Thanks Az, and hello Imperium.

For those who don't know I'm the author of KBM (King Boss Mods), but I'm slowly making friendships within Imperium.

I would like to thank you all for sticking with KBM, and all the feedback and ideas you've put forward over the months. Lets hope the new 20 man is as awesome as Hammerknell.

PS I'll sort out an avatar shortly.

#23693 Imperium IDKP Policy

Posted by Azounstone on 25 June 2011 - 04:43 AM

Imperium IDKP Overview
IDKP will be awarded when Raiders attend specific raids in our raiding calendar as well as for other activities as listed in this guide. These points can then be used to buy items that drop in IDKP zones. In non IDKP zones loot will be distributed by standard need before greed means.

What is it and how does it work?
We operate a 'Decay IKP' (IDKP) system for 12 weeks earned, 6 weeks spent. Simply put it shows you the IDKP for each member based on an individuals earnings for the last three months of raiding and their points spent over the last 6 weeks. In essence this means that a new member that joins today will have the possibility to have the same IDKP as the highest person for example, in a maximum of 3 months time if they both attend the same amount of raids and have the same expenditure.

IDKP Zones

  • Frozen Tempest (Tier 1)
  • Endless Eclipse (Tier 1)

NON IDKP Zones

  • Triumph of the Frozen Queen
  • Primeval Feast
  • Drowned Halls
  • Gilded Prophecy
  • Rise of the Phoenix
  • Greenscale's Blight
  • River of Souls
  • Hammerknell Fortress
  • Infernal Dawn

Raiders Ranks
We use a number of different ranks for our raiders. Depending upon a members rank this will effect loot rights and IDKP earned in certain zones. The ranks are as follows:

  • Casual Raider (IDKP is not earned when left out of a raid)
  • SL Raider (IDKP is earned for all IDKP raids when left out if online and on ventrilo for duration of raid)
  • SL Reserve (IDKP is earned for all IDKP raids when left out if online and on ventrilo for duration of raid)
  • Trial Member (IDKP is not earned other than 1 IDKP for early attendance when left out of a raid)

Loot Rights

  • Frozen Tempest/Endless Eclipse - SL Raiders have priority over other raiders if item is for main spec irrelevant of amount of IDKP a person has.
  • SL Reserve - Have priority over Trial Members if item is for main spec irrelevant of amount of IDKP a person has.
  • Trial Member - Can only take loot irrelevant of IDKP amount if no other member wants the item.

IDKP Amounts, Bonuses and Penalties

IDKP Earned Rate
The rate at which we earn IDKP will be reviewed on an ongoing basis however at the launch of Storm Legion it will be as shown below.

Tier 1 (Frozen Tempest + Endless Eclipse)

  • Earned +1 IDKP per hour
  • Attendance +1 IDKP
  • Boss First Kill +5 IDKP
  • First Zone Clearance +10 IDKP

Tier 2 (TBA)

  • Earned +1 IDKP per hour
  • Attendance +1 IDKP
  • Boss First Kill +5 IDKP
  • First Zone Clearance +10 IDKP

Penalties

  • Arrival to raid late -1 IDKP
  • Failure to attend -5 IDKP
  • Leaving raid early – Earn 50% of the raids base IDKP and loss of other bonuses
  • Failing to send the raid leader a message (via the forum) when withdrawing your sign-up for a raid -3 IDKP
  • Failing to either sign-up as available or unavailable a minimum of 24 hours prior to the start time of a raid (SL Raid Squad Members) -3 IDKP

Penalties will be applied by way of allocating an item to the player that will cost the amount of points the penalty is for. This deduction will be cancelled out the same way other items are when the weekly decay script runs after 6 weeks.

Note – These penalties will not be applied if you have informed an Officer that you will be late or have a valid reason for failing to attend. Repeated late arrival or failing to turn up will not be tolerated. The Officers will make the decision if the reason given is valid. The onus is on the player to request a penalty to be removed if they feel it is unfair.

Items & Equipment Bidding
All items and equipment will have a fixed cost as can be viewed on the IDKP Site. We reserve the right to limit how many items a 'Raider' can win per raid.

Tier 1 Prices

  • Necklace, Rings and Trinket - 35 IDKP
  • Boots and Gloves - 30 IDKP
  • Helmet, Shoulders and Belt - 35 IDKP
  • Breastplate/Top and Legs - 40 IDKP
  • One Handed Weapons, Bows, Rifles, Totems and Shields etc (non relic) - 45 IDKP
  • Two Handed Weapons (non relic) - 90 IDKP
  • Relic Items - One Handed Weapons, Bows, Rifles, Totems and Shields etc - 50 IDKP - Two Handed - 100 IDKP
  • Relic Component - 30 IDKP
  • Heart of Crucia/Regulos - 30 IDKP
  • Crafting Component (set of 3) - Will cost the same value as the item IDKP *

Free IDKP Upgrades
In the event that a raider is replacing an item they have paid IDKP for then provided the new item is from the same tier raid zone as the original purchase it will be awarded at 0 IDKP. However, if another raider does not already have an item of equivalent value it should be offered to this raider before it is purchased by the other raider for 0 IDKP.

* Crafting Components (if applicable)
Crafting components will be sold as a completed item not as individual components. Every 2 or 3 weeks we will offer raiders the chance to purchase one of these at the IDKP costs shown above.

In the event of more than one person wanting the item it will be awarded to the player with the highest IDKP. Weapons, off-hand and shield will be given priority over other items.

Item Bidding
In order to bid for an item you have to use the item as replacement for your 'main role' on raids (The raid leader will determine if it is a 'main role') . The Officers reserve the right to restrict specific items to specific classes if they see fit and also award items for zero cost. If nobody on the raid can use the item or wants to buy it for their 'main role' then it will be distributed as follows:

Tradeable

  • Will be offered to raiders for an off-spec that is used on the raids at zero cost (if an approved off-spec).
  • Will be offered to raiders for an off-spec that is used in dungeons at zero cost.
  • Will be offered to the Reserves to buy using their IKP.
  • If the Reserves do not wish to purchase the item then it will be open for all 'Mains' in the guild to buy using their IDKP.
  • If it is still not purchased then ALL Guild members may purchase it for an 'Alt' at zero cost.
  • Item is still not wanted it will be sold on the broker and funds deposited in 'GB'.
  • Item still not distributed then it will be allocated to a Runecrafter so the mats may be used for the guilds benefit.

No Trade Items

  • Will be offered to raiders for an off-spec that is used on the raids at zero cost (if an approved off-spec).
  • Will be offered to raiders for an off-spec that is used in dungeons at zero cost.
  • Will be allocated to a Runecrafter so the mats may be used for the guilds benefit or sold to an 'NPC' and the funds deposited in the 'GB'.

Winning an Item
In order to win an item you have to agree to pay the item cost. Provided you are the only person agreeing to this then you will win the item and the IDKP value will be deducted from your balance. In the event that two or more agree to pay the item value then it will be distributed as below:

  • Raider with highest amount of IDKP will win.
  • In the event that two or more have the same amount of IDKP the Raid Leader will ask those bidding to do a /random roll to decide.

Credit
Credit will not be given if others have bid on an item. In the event that only one person can use an item and they do not have sufficient IDKP then credit will be provided to this person so they can bid for the item. In the event that several want an item but do not have the amount of IDKP needed to buy the item the raider with the highest IDKP will be offered credit to purchase the item.

Removal from IDKP List
When a raider is removed from the guild roster they are also removed from the IDKP list too. In the event that he or she returns to the game they will not rejoin at their previous total. Anyone that is still on the guild roster yet hasn't raided for 28 days will have their IDKP reset.

Terms Used

  • IDKP – Imperium Decay Kill Points
  • Raider(s) – Guild members allocated a place in the raid
  • Reserve(s) – Guild members designated as a reserve for a specific raid
  • Officers – The Guilds appointed Officers as listed on the forum
  • Raid Leader – Person appointed to lead the raid
  • Mains – Main character of a member of the Guild as listed on the Guild roster
  • Alts – Alternative characters of Guild members
  • GB – Vault of the Guild Bank
  • NPC - Non Playable Character (merchant)
  • Main Role - As defined by the Raid Leader

PLEASE NOTE - The officers reserve the right to over rule any purchase on a raid if they feel it is not in the interest of the raid force and to adjust the value to any purchase if they see fit.

#17381 Guild Charter and Philosophy

Posted by Azounstone on 11 January 2011 - 07:23 PM

Guild Charter and Philosophy

Who We Are
A close knit community that consists of members from around the globe and from all walks of life. While we do have a few younger members (no minors, we're all adults here, we completely understand that age is not necessarily a reflection of maturity, in fact, we know from experience it isn't, however we as adults prefer to surround ourselves with other adults) our typical members are working professionals in their late 20's-40's. We are very serious about our community and our reputation within the gaming community. The fastest way to a guild kick is hacking, exploiting, or in general bringing the microscope down on us in any sort of negative implication.

Many of us have grown with the MMO genre and in general while we are experienced gamers we now have families, careers, are working towards degrees, etc. Amongst the ranks we have members who have played MMO's for over a decade and also many who just enjoy the games and the company. We have members who have experience raiding top tier content successfully, we have members who have successfully achieved top 5 server standings or better and have done so in multiple MMO titles. All of that being said none of it is important.

We want you to know that when you join us you are joining an experienced and successful group of gamers many of which have long pedigree's. However, you are not going to find yourself in an environment of elitists. Quite the opposite. We are very laid back but we are highly organized. When we wipe on raids we do not whine or scream at each other in vent. We pick ourselves up and get back to it all the while enjoying ourselves and winding down from a day at work etc.

Common sense prevails here in all situations. From being a team player and putting your guild before yourself, having realistic expectations, helping and not hindering online organized events, you name it. We have a certain way of doing almost everything and if you have specific questions about what those things may be please ask and we will tell you. The goals of the guild supersede the goals of the individual. We help each other, we share, and the expectation is set with that frame of mind.

Playstyle - Casual but serious about raiding
Casual is not meant to imply almost non-existent gameplay. What we mean is there is no ridiculous schedule to meet or maintain, if you go out of town or on holiday you are not going to get booted, etc. If you can manage to play a few hours a night several times a week (as a minimum) that will work. More is of course better however we are not swinging gavels down on members that have a consistent presence under normal circumstances where they are not swamped or overwhelmed with real life obligations.

We are not a zerg guild, and although we absolutely do not monitor members playtime we will not add members to our ranks that simply do not play or contribute.

As a close knit community, we cannot afford to have members more interested playing on other servers or in other MMO's. This needs to be your "game and guild of choice." If we find out you are also in another guild you will need to make a choice. We don't have time for players that choose to do this.

Philosophy
Our social goal is to provide a friendly and mature environment. We will not tolerate drama and while enjoying gameplay is important we are not here to provide fun for you. Members are expected to be self sufficient when necessary and pro-active in creating their own enjoyable experience.

We expect our members to add to the community not just reside and hang their hat in it. We want socially adept members with a genuine interest in being here that display some sort of presence. We are casual however this does not imply that its ok to sign on here then go underneath the radar for months. Get to know people, hop in vent, be active in guild chat and on the boards. Be part of the community and we'll call you one of 'us'.

Voice Communications
Ventrilo is used and EVERYONE is encouraged to use it. Many people find their online experience more enjoyable when voice chat is available. Some, do not. Primarily we will use it simply to avoid typing. However, we will also use it to provide another layer of efficiency and organization in Raid encounters and for this reason EVERYONE who attends a raid must be on Ventrilo. Log in and just listen if that is all you prefer to do.

Summary
A good sense of community and camaraderie are important aspects of an enjoyable online experience.

If you are interested in joining us, and see no blaring disagreements with anything you have read here, post an application in the relevant section of the forum.

Hey, thanks folks!
Glad to have finally found what I hope will be my GW2 home. :-)
I look forward to getting to know you all soon.
I hope there are some other WvWvW junkies around.

Just a quick FYI - I won't be around until Sunday to sort out an in-game invite as I have a wedding to go to this weekend.
